The 5 Must-see Places When You Visit To Kuala Lumpur

If you are on your vacation in Malaysia especially to their capital city Kuala Lumpur, don't forget to visit these 5 destination as below

1. The Batu Caves

Batu Caves is a limestone hill which has a temple in the cave. This temple is one of the Hindu temple that is located outside the most popular India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. To reach this temple, you have to walk up the 272 steps which are quite steep. At the bottom of the stairs, there is a statue of the God Murugan with 42.7meters which is the highest statue in the world. Batu Caves is located about 13 km north of the city and most easily accessed by using the KTM Komuter train from KL Sentral station, with a journey time approximately 35 minutes and the fare is RM2.

2. Merdeka Square

Merdeka Square or Plain Independence is an area of importance for the history of Malaysia because it is here that for the first time on August 31, 1957, United Kingdom Royal flag was lowered and replaced with the flag of Malaysia. Since then the Independence Square has always been a venue for Independence Day Parade.

Around Merdeka Square there are many historic buildings such as the Sultan Abdul Samad building which now is houses the Office of the Ministry of information communication and culture, Royal Selangor Club Complex which was built in 1884 and was once a place of elite members of the Society meets the Kingdom of United Kingdom, National Museum of history and there is also the Church of St. Mary's Anglican Cathedral.

To achieve the Independence Square, you can take the Kelana Jaya LRT from KL Sentral Station, get off at Masjid Jamek Ampang Line train was changed then and get off at the station and Hang Tuah.

3. The Petronas Twin Towers

Known as the Petronas towers or Twin Tower is located in KLCC, which in fact is a very large shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur. The tower is the icon of Kuala Lumpur and had become the world's tallest building 1998-2004 defeated Willis Tower in Illinois, United States.

This place is most fitting if you visit in the afternoon lead up to the evening, so you can see the state of the tower when the light and dark. At about 19:00 local time, in the area of the fountain outside the building there are always shows dancing fountain.
To reach the Petronas towers, you can take the Kelana Jaya LRT station, KL Sentral station and drop at the KLCC with travel time approximately 15 minutes and the fare is RM1.6.

4. Street Food in Alor Street

A very lively place at night is very popular among culinary lovers. Although the food sold comes from existing permanent buildings on the side of the road, not like a street food in Indonesia, but the dining chairs and tables are placed on the outside of the building. Along the way we will still feel the atmosphere of a typical eating street food here. Ornate lanterns hung along the ever make the atmosphere so the more the merrier. The price of the food is relatively cheap, for a portion of sate and rice for example, you simply to spend about RM13.
To reach this place, you can take the monorail train and get off at the Bukit Bintang station and walk about 5 minutes to the direction of Raja Chulan.

5. Bird Park and Butterfly Park in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur bird park or commonly known with the KL Bird Park, is home to about 3,000 birds from 200 local and foreign species of birds. The birds are there in this place is very friendly to visitors. If you buy special food, they would love to roost on the shoulder so you can take pictures closer to them.

Not far from Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, Butterfly Park. In the Park you can walk in the garden area while the butterflies would fly around you. The garden has a collection of about 5,000 of these butterflies will make you relax in the middle of a big city.

The second is located in the garden area Path Cenderasari. To get there, you can ride the buses Rapid KL numbers B101 or B112, alight at the Dayabumi Complex and walk toward the national mosque. You can also train ride KTM Komuter Station, get off at Kuala Lumpur (KL Sentral instead) and the road towards the national mosque.

In the area of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) there are 3 terminals which serve airlines and destinations vary i.e. KLIA, LCCT and KLIA2. The majority of the low-cost airlines (low cost carrier) will land and depart from KLIA2 or LCCT.
From the airport to the city centre there are several alternative transport which is :

• Take the bus to KL Sentral with the price of RM10 and takes about 1.5 hours.
• Take the bus to the Terminal with fares Puduraya RM10 and takes about 1.5 hours.
• Take the bus to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) with a price of RM9, and it takes about 1 hour.
• Take the bus to the station the value and continued with KTM Komuter train to KL Sentral.
• KLIA Express train to KL Sentral with the price of RM35 and journey time around 35 minutes.

In addition to via Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you can also fly into Senai international airport in Johor Bahru (JHB). From the airport, you can ride a shuttle bus to the Terminal Larkin and continue the trip by bus to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan express or Puduraya with journey time around 5-6 hours and the rates about RM34. If you wish to traverse this route, the last bus from Terminal Larkin is 00.00 – 01.00 in the morning.
