Japan is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. 1. Mount of Fuji

2. The Golden Pavilion

Kinkaku-ji Temple or Golden Pavilion is the most popular tourist attraction in Japan and in the Kyoto area. The Pavilion was originally built as a resting villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu in the late 14th century. Unfortunately, the pavilion burned in the 1950s by a young monk who has been very obsessed with the pavilion. Five years later, the pavilion was rebuilt as a copy from the original. Emphasis is placed on the building and surrounding grounds are in tune with each other. The Pavilion is covered by leaves made of gold that reflects the beauty of the picture in the outdoor pavilions and reflection pools in the building.

3. Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower is a testament to advances in technology and modern life in Japan. Inspired by the design of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, it is the second tallest man-made structure in Japan and serves as a means of communication and observation tower. Visitors can climb the tower to see the unparalleled views of Tokyo and the surrounding area as well as shops and restaurants, it is not wrong if Tokyo Tower become one of the most popular tourist spots in Japan.

4. The Castle of Himeji

Himeji Castle is considered the best for the architecture of the castles in Japan. The castle was originally created to fight the enemies of the feudal period, but it has been renovated back many times over the centuries and reflect different design periods. The Castle survived the bombings of World War II, and the castle was often seen in the movies inside and outside the country, including the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice". The exterior is white and the design of the fortress-like bird that will fly in Himeji Castle, make it feasible into the 10 most popular tourist attractions in Japan.

5. The Great Buddha Of Kamakura

Great Buddha of Kamakura is Amida Buddha, colossal representation of one of the most famous Buddhist figures in Japan. A bronze statue of the great Buddha standing on the height of over 13 metres (40 feet) and weighs nearly 93 tons. This statue comes from the year 1252. Although originally housed in a small wooden shrine, a huge Buddha statue now stands in the open because the original temple had been swept away in the tsunami of the 15th century. Attractions in Japan is often crowded on the visit by local and foreign tourists.

6. The Kiyomizu-Dera Temple

Kiyomizu-dera Buddhist temple is located in Eastern Kyoto and dates from the year 836. A waterfall in the flow river from the outside makes this temple is very harmonious with nature and not a single nail was used in the construction of this temple. 7. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial

Hiroshima Peace Memorial is a memorial to commemorate the moment the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The building is located in the Park memorial Genbaku Dome, the only building still standing in the vicinity after the bomb was dropped in 1945. The building also can remind to the world as a strong warning against war and the importance of peace in the world, which is why the building was made of frequent visits of sights in Japan who often visited by local and foreign tourists.

8. Temple of Todaiji

Todaiji Temple in Nara is a very fantastic building in construction engineering standpoint. It is not only because it was the world's largest wooden building, Todaiji Temple, however, is also home to the world's largest bronze Buddha statue. Surrounded by beautiful parks and wildlife, the Kegon School of Buddhism also based here and the grounds played an important role due to the large number of Japan's history and Buddhist artifacts. 9. Tokyo Imperial Palace

Japan's Emperor makes his home in the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. It also serves as the administrative centre and the museum to display art of japan and the history of japan. The Palace was built on the ruins of the old palace was destroyed by fire or war, and architects still honor the remains of the palaces of the past by incorporating design elements from different eras into the modern palace. The new palace is surrounded by gardens and has a lot of Japan's traditional activity and function space for receiving guests and welcome public. And also can be set as one of the tourist spots in Japan.

10. Jigokudani Monkey Park 

Jigokudani Monkey Park is the famous hot springs in the area near Nagano,. The name Jigokudani (meaning "Valley of Hell"), is due to the steam and boiling water and removing bubbles frozen land, surrounded by cliffs and forests. Attractions in Japan is famous for its large population of wild snow monkey who go to the valley during the winter when the snow covering the grounds. The monkeys that will descend from cliffs and forests to sit in the hot water that is warm, and going back to into the forest at night.
